Most judges will not terminate rights unless there is someone adopting or the parent in question has been convicted of offenses against the child ( these are usually extreme abuse, molestation ect)

I have 3 kids & live in Arizona

You, would think! The sad thing The sad thing is you can get a court order and make him pay support the court will tell you they can't make him visit!! Yes! it is such BS and how it may impact some kids etc.

My sons biological father signed away his rights and my son had to be adopted by my parents since at the time I had no next of kin.

That's not really something a 4 or 5 yr comes up with on their own, they had to have heard that from someone.

Depends on the state. You would have to look it up under your states Health and Welfare site. In Idaho it is pretty much either he gets convicted of a felony or a will be in jail for more than 6 months. That is about the only time I can request to have his rights terminated.

Not with you still as his legal parent, she likely signed her rights over to her parents as well

Fight for supervised visitation! I have sadly been there done this and i agree with you completely. He stopped paying support, I stopped letting him see the kids I refused his bad habits, his abusive ways, etc. So sad yet it is tough getting supervised visits you have to show prove of all allegations you make when you fight! It for our kids and well worth it!

I wish that was the case here, my ex wouldn't have any rights. As it stands now there is an order for no contact but indefinitely.

My ex is so stupid about stuff I am just counting down the moments until this happens and I can have my DF adopt my girl.
