I hate parents who talk smurf about formula feeding mothers. Not everyone can breastfeed

Same thing with my little miss. I every now and then miss my "own space" but I value our time together so much that I really don't get bothered by it. I love our snuggles!!

It drives me crazy when people give their babies solids before 6 months if it's because it's "cute" or so the baby will sleep longer. Oh, or because "he's sooo hungry"- no smurf, genius, he's growing, what's he supposed to do, eat less and live on sunshine?! I especially hate it when they make baby food the biggest part of the babies diet. Babies NEED breastmilk/formula, they don't NEED solids for the whole first year, solids are supposed to be practice before then.

I hate when parents complain that raising their kid is so hard and how they never get a break etc.......when they have a SO or family memebers help them out 24/7 with caring for the kids and giving them money and paying their bills etc.....when they seem to be never home or have money for tattoos and smokes and booze etc.....

I hate when parents use the fact that their child/ren have ADHD OCD or compulsion disorders (or any other behavior issue) as an excuse to not dicipline their offspring. Or just jump on the med train right away, without researching the facts that many kids can function with natural ways of dealing with behavior issues by working with them to understand that yes they do have a disorder, but we can help improve them by controling it through natural processes.
My dd has ADHD OCD and Compulsion disorder and has MID. I in no way ever dismiss bad behavior due to those things, she gets dicipline when its required and appropriate to her understandings and we work on controling outbursts and high energy times.
Excuses for it does not help the child learn any self control.
We do natural and no meds and its worked for the past 8 yrs (now 10 yrs)
(Yes some kids need meds, but I just wish more parents would explore natural before introducing meds firts)

It really bugs me, like a lot.

Quoting * Sara *:" I love me some co sleeping. I don't sleep as well with my babies are in another room."
Ditto. And I didn't complain but I don't understand why someone who cosleeps isn't allowed to complain.   Some kids are just bad sleepers, cosleeping or crib sleeping.

I hate when people put baby food into a bottle (with formula, or breast milk) and mix it up and give it to their kids like that.

I hate when I'm pressured about parenting choices that I haven't even gotten a chance to make yet...

Such as decisions on spanking, working, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, what kind of daipers I use...

Being told what the right decision is for me, when I haven't even figured out what's going to work is a piss off.

I also hate being told by other parents: "You can't work! You're going to miss out on so much of her upbringing...You should'nt let other people raise your child."

Dude, if I have to work, I have to work. No need to point out the obvious and make me doubt my parenting abilities more than I already am.

That's not being lazy! That's being a mother...I grew up with a stay at home Mom, and DH's mother was sort of a stay at home Mom...They value staying at home, which leaves me asking, hello? Single mother here! I don't exactly have a ton of options once LI money runs out....

See here no one is a sahm.....And taking the time off is used since we get 52 weeks paid time off of work. Mandatory.

But with family, being a sahm mom is not something you do, and is lazy and living off of the system to be a sahm is something that is really frowned on here. I work and always have because well I want to as much as I need too. But fo rth eones who dont work and their hubbys do work, they get smurffed on for being home with the kids. lol

Lol, that is insanely different! Everyone around here is a sahm...There are so many Moms and Tots groups, so many options available for stay at home mothers...Daycare is a tabboo word! Some sort of government evil, apparently.

I live in the wrong place, obviously! I don't think one is necessarilly better than the other, they both come with benefits and downfalls.

ding ding ding. I agree what works for your family is what you do. I would love to stay at home evryday longer themn my paid leave, but I like a roof over my kids heads and food on the table and my kids would get over it but I know they would miss their $50.00 a week allowence. lol As much as I would miss my obsession with shopping. lol

It does not work for us. I enjoy daycare and my ids thrived on the social and educational value they got out of it, one was in daycare for 9 yrs (started at 1 month) second was in daycare for 4 yrs (started at 1 month) lo is almost 9 months and does not start till just under 1 yr for daycare, its been different but I cant wait to get back to work. lol I will miss BG in the day time tho. lol
