Depends on how busy your court system is... Here you could probably bank on waiting 6-8 week for a court date and that's after all the bs of 15-20 days to reply to notice. But once it's ruled on, it's effective whenever the date is setup that child support is paid.

There is no limit to how long that can take. I have yet to receive a dime for my oldest and he is 10yrs old. But my other it only took 2mo for everything to be said and done. You just need to stay on their asses to make sure they didn't blow your case off and be patient

Did you ever take it back to court and alert the DA? Here if the parent that pays child support is over 90 days late on payments they take it out of their paycheck and goes directly to the parent receiving.

Right, We have an active case already(almost 4 years now). I plan to call them again in a week or two if I don't hear anything. We have a inter-state case so I can't pester them in person.

Been there, done that, and rocked every T-shirt. He is running now because I had them put a warrant out for him years ago. His sorry ass family and friends are helping hide him and giving him work under the table. smh. My son is a JR. so I need to change his name so people wont confuse my son with that low-life father of his.

To the poster
Every case is different. It just depends on the father and his cooperation level as to how fast and smooth things run.
And just so you know if he is in a different state, he goes by different rule than the state you are in which can delay things. In some states failure to pay is not even illegal..and good moms are SOL.smh
