getting my daughters ears pierced

so my four year old asked to get her ears pierced,and i think she is old enough now so i think i will do it for one of her chanukkah presents this year.any suggestions on were to go to get them done?

Clairs? Piercing Pagoda? I would do it somewhere that has two guns that can do it at the same time.

Claire's or a hair salon. I don't think a tattoo parlour would be appropriate

Why? It's by far better than getting them pierced with a gun.

Her pedi might do it. Or a piercing place, with a needle is supposed to be better.

No, no, no! Those guns are horrible, and operated by people with little to no training. I would suggest a piercing parlor that uses needles.

I found it a lot less painful getting it done at a tattoo/piercing place with a needle rather than the gun

i heard to have two guns at the same time is good,i have seen a few places that offer piercings but i just need a good one since i want this to be a good experiance for her.

You're a body piercer that suggested she get her daughter's ears pierced at Claire's?

Wow.

I know they say no guns so if you want to go that route a piercing shop or some pedi's do it. Otherwise if you are going the gun route Claire's, Piecing Pagoda, anywhere like that.

That being said I have had 12 ear piercings on myself and my oldests done with guns and neither of us have had any issues resulting from it.

As a piercer you should absolutely know why the guns are horrible!

It would be highly appropriate, actually. I wouldn't want someone taking a piercing gun to my kid's ears when they've had all of 2 weeks of training. i.e. - claires.
