So mad!

So my son has always had what we thought were very bad asthma attacks. (since he was 2, he is now 5) In the colder months he gets one about once a month. The last time he had one he woke up trying to cry and scream, flailing his arms and legs, could not speak, could barely breath. Bad stridor. We were as our doctor said,"lucky he did not die."

She informed us to see the ENT again (he has sleep apnea and had his Tonsils and adenoids out a year ago." And next time we need to call an ambulance and use his epi pen. It is not his lungs, it is his throat swelling.
We went to the ENT and he agreed we need to look in there to see what's up. Well, he spoke with the surgeons (this guy was a NP) and they all said they will not touch him because of his past surgical record. ( He is high risk, he always aspirates and from my understanding they have had scary things happen on the table.)
So they call the children specialists at the university. Soonest apt is Feb 15th. That's not good, they said if it is a life threatening condition the doctor can request and immediate look. Great, he says he will look into it for us.
He calls me back and informs me that none of my sons file indicates he is at risk of death. The ER (who knows us because of how often we are there) never report the low O2 or stridor. The only proof we have is from our primary which the other docs will not take. So now I a have to wait for another attack before he can call and make an immediate request. I'm terrified of every cough and runny nose. I hate this.

How scary, I would be making calls and demands. I hope the best, poor th ing.

thank you. i have dine all i can do, idid get a call a few min ago saying the NP wants an X-ray and if that shows swelling he can make the call, but as of right now I have no proof! To make matters worse he was taken off all his meds for his allergy testing and is starting to have the nose runs and coughing.

I would call every day, see if there are any cancellations!! (I am obnoxious like that) maybe if you keep calling they will get you in asap, just so you leave them alone!!
