Probably about 13. Definitely have to have seconds, everyone will take left overs, and we want leftovers..

You cut the backbone out of the turkey (or chicken) and flatten it. It cooks in less than 1/2 the time.

oh i bet that soundslike a busy week. i'm hoping dd stays in until her due date. my mom's friend offered to have thanksgiving at her house... just in case my water breaks or i go into labor... my mom wouldn't have to worry about cleaning up after dinner. lol. kinda sweet, hoping that doesn't happen.


i gave up on black friday shopping this year... even if i haven't had dd yet, i won't last in the mayhem.

and you brave sul fo letting dh deepfry the turkey... i'd trust my bf to burn the house down if he did it.

My brothers make a brine in a cooler and put it in there for hours (like 12 or something) before it's time to cook it. We usually cook it over night or my mom gets up super early and starts it.

My mom got a rare hair and volunteered the turkey last year. Which happened to be her first time cooking one! She baked it with the giblets and neck bone still stuffed inside! It was creepy! Good luck!
