Wisdom teeth...wtf?

My wisdom teeth have come in late, all four of them at once. I've seen a dentist and my teeth have no room to grow in my mouth. One of the teeth has pierced a hole in my gum, where the food goes in and it has caused a big infection so i'm having the emergency surgery friday morning.

It is 85$ for the consultation, and 300$ per teeth for the surgery.
Grand total of 1,540. My insurance doesn't cover any of the costs.

For those who have had their wisdom teeth removed, how much was it?

I had all 4 wisdom plus 1 more pulled and it was right around $1000...that included being knocked out for it.

Mine was almost $4,000. But I was younger and my parents had full coverage so we got reimbursed (sp?) for it all except the $100 consultation.

It hurt like a bitch for two weeks and the recovery sucked.... but I have friends with wisdom teeth that are coming in and they said it's the most excruciating pain they've ever experienced. I'm glad I took the two weeks of pain as opposed to this lol

Mine was about $2500 and that was partially covered by insurance. I had to open a CareCredit account and pay with it that way because I was broke but in SO much pain... Still paying it off a year later.

free i have blue cross blue sheild i would check around most insurances cover atleast part of it
