The average heigh for as 7 yr old is 4'7

dd is 10 and is 5'3 I am 5'2.

mine little cousin is 11 and is 5'5 and her sister is 13 and is 5'8 ish....

My son will be 8 in January and he is still in a high back booster, but he's a small guy and is only like 43lbs.

Same issue! Luckily Iowa has booster laws only to age 6, My 6 and 5 year olds are in boosters but once my 6 turns 7 I am taking him out. My 9 yo is 5'2. He has been out of a booster since 6, he is to tall.

I disagree with that. The chart that i was looking on earlier says the average height for a 7 year old is 3'7 and 50 lbs...4'7 is an 11 year old female and being 79 lbs.
these are all just averages though. And everyone is differant. Its besides the point. All my comment meant was that to me i considered an almost 5 foot 7 year old to be tall.  

I have a really paronoid friend that has a 10 year old and 8 year old in a 5-point harness car seat, not even a booster because she saw a youtube video once about a kid how died when he was in a booster.I think that's really pushing it too far. I have no idea how long she plans on keeping them in it.

LOL, i know! my brother was in a booster till he was 12 i felt so bad for him. My stepmom is so funny!

Oh he is a tiny guy!! My almost 7 year old daughter is 55 lbs haha

My 6 year old is 3-11 and 64lbs

DD will be in her 5point until shes atlaest 4 or when she grows out of it after that its a highback booster if you 7.5y/o doesnt mind sitting in a booster keep him there but if he starts complaining or getting embaressed about it id let it go and just put him in a regular seat hes at the normal age where many kids are out of it and many kids are also becoming bullies at that age so if hes doesnt want it anymore i wouldnt make him use it

I work with a woman that is 4'10" and weighs 87 pounds, people tease her all the time about needing to be in a booster.

my 6 yeah old son is still in a harnass and will be for some time becuase it goes up to 80lbs... he is just does not seem tall enough for the booster yet

and i felt bad for my brother that was 11/12 and in a booster haha. The 8 year old is ok...but 10 in a 5 point harness is a little excessive. But to each their own. i would never do it with my kids.
