28 weeks with shortning cervix and 1-2 cm dilated

I also have a positive fFN on October 20th. I was on moderate bedrest at home and then my doctor had me have a "consultation" with a high risk dr. Well the high risk doctor did an ultrasound and found my cervix at 1.8 and dilated at 1-2 cm. Im so afraid that this one is gonna come way to early. They want me to get to 34 weeks but I cant stand staying in the hospital. I had a previous pregnancy that ended at 33 weeks and was in the NICU for a week and a half. Im hoping that I can go home and be on bed rest there because this bed is not comfortable (im in the hospital for two weeks and then reevaluate me). Both of my sons birthdays are coming up and it would just be nice to be home for there and also for thanksgiving. Anyone else have this problem?

I was in for 7 weeks with my twins. It sucked. But I made it to 32 weeks. You can do it, it's not fun, but it's definitely do-able.

I have that problem also. At 32 weeks with my last one I dialtaed to 6 and they rushed me to OU in Oklahoma, Had to stay there for 2 weeks, Got out at 34 weeks had my girl 5 days later. It sucks to be in the hospital but its something thats worth it!

As of right now I'm going to get a dilation check next week, that will put me at two weeks here at the hospital, if everything is stable and o further dilation I might be able to go home on bed rest

Oh so your in the hospital now? Sorry must have read it wrong. I hated it cause it was a learning hospital and 50 effing people would come in daily!..And I told them if they put a IV in me again (ev ery 2 days) I will walk the hell out! SO they took it out and left it out  ..They only checked me when I got there..when I left

Yup in the hospital got admitted on Thursday.
