Technically, yes I would be but he is still going to have to earn the money for it.

My 6 yr old gets 10 a month. My 12 yr old gets 30 &'y 15 year old gets her phone bill & 20 ($60 total)

But if they don't do their chores they get $$ taken off

I pay my 10 and 4 yr old for all chores they do and extra money for extra chores they do. To learn hard work pays off, it will take him a while at that pace.

My kids get 50.00 a week for chores. But they have to buy their own electronic games to begin with, except the ones they get for gifts like their ipads and my 4 yr olds ipod, dd is 10 and bought her own ipod last year and 3ds.

But its a good idea since it broke to earn the money to buy a new one. Great learning tool, I have been doing it for years it really helps them appreciate stuff more.

I believe we are a t par for our dollar, so its the same as your 50.00.
