This is probably a stupid question but...

I was wondering if I could check to see if I am dilated/effaced at home???
I have an appointment Friday but have had so much pressure and pain the past few days I'm getting anxious lol! If I can't, no big deal, it would just be fun to find out.

I'm 35 weeks... ugh these last few weeks are going to kill meee

Not a good idea at all..Doc's don't even like to do anything that may manipulate the cervix..I would say Don't do it!!

You can check for yourself. I'm not sure how to do it, but I remember a few ladies on here about a year or so talking about it.

Besides it would be very difficult to feel from the top of your fundus to all the way inside you ro your cervix!!

Technically yes, but honestly if you have no experience with it its just better to wait and let the doc do it.

Pressure is a good thing... That means the babe is moving farther down... and this will also help u to dialate...I know how excited you are getting but just hang tight.. go for walks that will help... and for future referance the only stupid question is the one never asked... i searched for your question and heres the link to what i found http://prepforlabor.tripod.com/id14.html but I personally would wait till fridays doc appointment
