Picky Picky Picky!

posted 28th Oct
My daughter is 7 and when she was younger she was a ridiculously horrible picky eater. She had a lot of food allergies to boot which she has since grown out of for the most part. After that she's been fairly easy to please. It seems like just the past 2 months she's gotten super picky again.

How do you handle your picky eater? Do you give in to them or do you make them eat what your eating?

Well, I don't have a picky child, but I grew up EXTREMELY picky. Everyone alway have in and would just give me PB&J or Mac and cheese.
Nobody made me eat anything... And I'm having issues to this day to eat vegetables without gagging.
I would say make her eat what you're eating. Just so she can get used to flavors of things and isn't scared to try new things that she may actually like. I think it will help her in the long run. I wish someone had been more persistent with me..

Good to know ... it's just weird because what she used to like she now says she doesn't like it. Can taste buds just change like that or is she being a brat? Annoying! lol.

Haha I have heard that your taste buds change every 7 years, so I guess that's a possibility, but I know majority of my pickiness growing up was just being a brat haha

LoL. Okay, thanks for the info! Maybe we'll have to just cook stuff together so she doesn't know she's eating it. lol.

That's a good idea. I made a thread not too long ago about vegetables and some ladies mentioned a cookbook and good places to find recipes to hide them if you're in need of some. ;)
