You could set it up just to make sure that you know how to open it and close it, and that you have all the parts, etc, and then put it away until your baby arrives. BTW, we use the MamaDoo Kids mattress topper for much needed extra comfort. The firmness is just perfect! It folds in 3 too. Good luck!
