Pregnancy after a preemie

Hi there

My son was born at 30 weeks...I am currently 31 weeks with DS2 and it feels strange....he is bigger than my DS1 was when he was born and i am further along than I have ever been in a pregnancy.

How has a second pregnancy been for everyone here? I am currently on aspirin and i truly believe that has helped me this far and will get me to full term.

Every day is a blessing for us......i think when u have had a preemie and spent the best parts of his birth in NICU- we were there 6 weeks - coming this far with a baby is a big deal.

Watching....My DD was a premie although she didn't spend any time in the NICU. Only 4 hours in the nursery for observation.
I am currently TTC and am wondering about all the special precautions I may have to take since I started going into preterm labor at 25 weeks with my DD. (had her at 34 weeks)

Your not supposed to take aspirin while pregnant :/

My doctor put me on aspirin as soon as i found out I as pregnant back in April.

I truly believe it is because i have been taking it daily that i have got this far....wish i had known with my first pregnancy

Good luck! im in the same boat my now 8 month old son was born at 30 weeks 6 days. i had eclampsia. im now 21 weeks with my fourth child (my first two were full term!) im scared to death!! i just want her to be full term and healthy!

My first was a 27 weeker and my second born at 36w6d. I had progesterone shots, bed rest and took advil up until 32 weeks(doctors orders).

1st at 37W.2nd at 35W 3rd at 34W..had progestrone shots on the 3rd didnt help me..I am on my 4th at 27 weeks and they think she will be here in a few weeks..I have pre-term and incompetent cervix

Ya some ladies do. I take a baby aspirin daily to help keep away preeclampsia. I had early onset preeclampsia with my twins

i also took baby aspirin daily along with advil. The advil relaxes the uterus and as long as you stop it before 32 weeks it wont harm baby!
It obviously depends on the person if you will take it, I personally trusted my OB and what she said. And i wanted a term baby
