Testing Buddy

posted 28th Oct
Is anyone else around 2 DPO?
I got a positive OPK on the 23rd and the 26th I had a lot of cramping in my back and sides so I'm assuming that's when I ovulated. We BD the 21st, 23rd, 25th, and 27th
But that would make my Ovulation day on day 20 of a 35 day cycle (does that sound normal?)

And my last period was October 7th
I plan to start testing next Sunday

I'm 1DPO.. I had an ultrasound this morning, it showed that I ovulated yesterday. I plan to start testing on Sunday too. I have a hard time not testing early   I know I probably won't get a BFP that early.

Ovulating on CD 20 sounds normal to me. Your luteal phase is the length it should be.

How do you figure out a luteal phase or whatever it is?
We ttc for 17 months with DD but I never got into tracking and stuff.. should have though!
I've also been trying to check my cervical position, last night it was low and firm. I know it isn't always a great predictor or pregnancy but I am trying to get familiar with it all

Do you currently use fertilityfriend or anything like that? You can use that to be sure about your average. Anyway, your luteal phase is days past ovulation to AF. Usually its about 14 days long, everybody is different so it can be a little shorter or longer. You might have a hard time getting or staying pregnant if its under 12 days. Usually taking B6 helps lengthen the luteal phase if its too short. O'ing on CD 20 of a 35 cycle is fine because your luteal phase is 15 days, that's normal.

Low and firm is normal for 3dpo, around 5dpo your cervix will probably rise.

I tried using that website/app and just got confused lol I tried temping but charting was hard to understand. I guess I'm 2dpo? Blah. And that makes sense about the luteal phase. There's so much info to keep up with lol

I and 2dpiui I'm going to start testing around 11/5 or 6. I've been TTC over 2 years.

What meds did you take and how many follicles did you have?

I'm doing IUI this cycle, my IUI will actually be tomorrow 2dpo. My RE's office screwed up the cycle monitoring, I ended up O'ing yesterday.

I had 4-5 good sized follies and we went through with IUI due to my poor response in prior cycles. I just feel like its *never* going to happen.

Wow! That's a lot of follicles! I was just wondering about the medication because I've been taking Clomid, I'm not responding well I want to switch to something else.

What's the difference between IUI and IVF?

spookshow: I didn't respond at all to clomid. At 50mg I felt wicked smurffy and dizzy and had almost no response. I used injectable meds this time. Gonal F and lupron (gonadatropins).

Jobey: IUI is interuterine insemination, they wash sperm (concentrating the best sperm) and inject into the uterus around ovulation. With IVF, fertilization occurs outside the woman's body. They retrieve eggs and join them with sperm and transfer them back into her uterus after they've begun to develope slightly.
