Nope

there is no reason to. A 8 month old doesn't need nor does he want chocolate.

Probably not, however, I was much more strict about everything with my first than I was my second.

No way. My son only wanted breast milk till about 9 months and then we gradually introduced pureed vegetables... We have just now started to give him tiny bits of candy at 20 mos.

I wouldn't give her the whole candy bar but if I had some melted chocolate on my finger than probably. I gave her a lick of my fudgesicle when she was 4 months and she's perfectly healthy. They don't need it obviously but it won't kill them.

Absolutely not!

My daughter didn't have candy until she was 4 and even then, it was heavily regulated.

we had a trick or treat for preK = 4th grade last night. it saddened me to see so many children under 1 with candy. their stomach is not ready for all of that nastiness at all.

even at 4, lmost 5, my daughter gets 1-2 pieces a day after haloween. any other time it can be wqeeks between her candy

Absolutely not. DD is going trick or treating (so momma can't have some candy lol) and I'm going to give her a boobsicle (frozen breastmilk Popsicle) as a treat. No chocolate till she's way older.

Nope. At 8 months they don't really know what it is, so they don't really "want it." So I see no reason.
