I've been trying for months now to gather up the strength to go thru baby girls stuff. Well today I just got a wild hair up my butt I guess you could say and I went thru them ( so many cute adorable things   ). Well this girl I happen to know is 8 1/2 months pregnant, her husband lost his job, they lost thier home and all of thier plus their unborn child's belongings, due to just horrible reasons..... I decided to give her pretty much all of baby girls clothes ( of course I held on to important sentimental things ). Her mom just came and picked up the stuff, as good as it makes me feel to know that they will get some good use out of them... I feel smurfing horrible now... Idk why..... But I do.... It's just hard to explain...       hubby keeps telling me I did a really good thing.... But my heart is broken.... Wtf

I felt the same way when I went through Mya's stuff and sold it all. I kept only two or three things. But I knew that I'd never use them for another baby, and she never got to wear any of them.. so it was better that way.

It took a few weeks for me to be "okay" with it.
Hugs to you.

I keep trying to tell myself I made a good choice. Clarity never got to wear any of her clothes either, and like you I would have never used them for another baby..   I just still feel awful about it

I'm sure it's normal. I would tell myself that it made Mya happy, knowing her clothes were going to good use instead of sitting in a box because I didn't want to let go of them.

I wish it were easier.

It took my sister's SIL over a year to go through her son's belongings. He was born premature and lived for a month. She had already had her shower and had a brand new high chair, crib, playpen, and swing. She finally gathered up the courage and called around and found a needy family to give them too.

So sorry for your losses...
