My preemie has RSV..

HE's only two weeks old and the doctor said he wouldn't prescribe him any medicine and that he'd have to run it's course.. Is that normal?

No...he needs a nubilizer. :/

Get a second opinion.

A baby that young should be hospitalized..id he see him to diagnose him?

Take him to the emergency room

My 2 month old has RSV right now. I've dealt with it with my first so it doesn't scare me as much anymore. His appt was on Tuesday and he was prescribed a rescue inhaler with spacer, steriods, and he had to use the nebulizer every 4 hours for 3 days, then twice a day for 3 days, and then we'll do it once a day for like 2 weeks. And he has to be seen once a week for the next month.

I would take him to a Childrens emergency room, he at the very least needs to use a nebulizer.

My preemie had RSV..she was around 6 months. She was prescribed a nebulizer with albuterol.

I took him to the ER last night and that's when the doctor said it'd pass on it's own.. Should I take him to our local children's hospital instead of a regular ER

get a second opinion. not a preemie, but my CHD baby had RSV, they prescribed him a neb, and prophalactic ABS

take him to childrens now my brother had RSV when he was a baby he only survived because he was so big he needs to be supervised by professinals my brother had to be hospitalized take him now and dont leave until they do something for him

Yes if they don't have a pedis unit they don't know what they r talking about for adults it's will pass for baby's no.

A childrens hospital is the best place possible to take him. They know what they're talking about and know how to handle a baby with RSV
