My oldest daughter her dad left when she was a baby and now.my.exhusband just left one day and is doing it to both my girls and our unborn baby ... i feel like the worse mother in the world and that i failed. I just hope i can help them through it and always let them no that no matter what I will always be there and never leave them. I hate men i dont get why they do that....

Because "Men are horrible awefull creatures, they will ruin your life" -Steel magnolias.. Any way.. All jokes a side.. its becasue i firmly believe becasue its a doubble standard.. Like.. If a woman should leave her kids with a man.. and be all "Peace out" or "I need space to find myself" or "Insert your own bull smurf excuse here" They would be deamned as the WORST MOTHER IN THE WORLD. HOW DAAAREEE SHE LEAVE HER POOR INNOCENT CHILDREN.. and the man would be looked at as some kind of super dad or hero.. But men can walk in and out of womens lives like its nothing becasue "Its the womans job as child bares to take care of the child regarudless." Its a load of smurf.

I can tell you what I did and see if that helps.

In the beginning (during pregnancy) BD said he's to young to be a dad and isnt ready for a son. When I was 5 months he said he wanted to be in his sons life, I gave him that chance. Gave him my new address and even told him I would pay shipping. At my babyshower he was a no show. I said I was never giving him another chance. He showed up 3 days after his son was born held him long enough for a pic and left. Chance number 3 came when he seen his son 2 more times and hasnt seen him again since may. He was 3 months then and is 9 months now. He doesnt know what a daddy is yet but I can assure you he wouldnt know his daddy from any other man. Child support said he can visit the 1st 3rd and 5th saturday for 17 saturdays a year. I gave him the chance AGAIN because his off day was friday. NO CALL NO SHOW. I have yet again to allow him the oppurtunity to pick.

I know this is kinda long but my son doesnt know him as daddy he knows him as D'marcus. I told him if he cant play daddy all the time and not only when he is forced to then he wont be known as daddy.

That sucks   I feel weary of finding anybody bc I think he will leave me daughter

I was always told "you cant force a man to be a father" so after trying so much I just gave up =/.
