My Labor Bag, Is it Legit or am I missing anything?

posted 26th Oct
I am 37 weeks and 5 days so I figured it is that time to FINALLY pack my Labor Bag which I am going to do tomorrow. Does everything sound good or am I missing anything that I should have?

Labor Bag:
•Shampoo
•Conditioner
•Bar Soap
•Face Wash
•Razor (Just in case)
•3 pairs of panties (Just in case)
•Two Pajama Dresses that button down for BF
•Hair Brush
•Tooth Brush
•Toothpaste
•Two Burp Clothes
•Boppy Pillow
•Nipple Cream
•Breast Pads
•Nursing Bra
•Make-Up Bag (Just in Case)
•Two cute baby outfits
•Two Onsie's
•Phone Charger
•Camera
•Laptop
•Dvd's or Cd's
•Baby Book
And
•Carseat.
I think that is everything that I would need to have a comfortable stay in the Hospital, especially if I will be there for two days or more. I would also like to bring my own pillow and blanket for when I am in labor but I just don't know if that would be too much. What do you all think? I have no idea when I will go into labor so I just want to be prepared as much as possible. My due date seems to be sneaking up on me quickly! Thanks for your opinion and tips! =)

You'll probably want chapstick and hair bands, also.

You are right! Haha Def hair bands and chap stick as well as pads and a outfit home! Haha I personally feel like those are all very important things to have for myself! LoL It is funny the things I know I would like to have but just forget. Thanks! I definitely appreciate it! =)
Do you think my own blanket and pillow would be too much to bring also?

I am so glad that I asked for everyone's opinion, I would hate to smell horrid while I am in the hospital and plus I would just feel gross if I forgot deodorant! LoL I am glad to see I am not the only one who would like to have my own blanket and pillow at the hospital, I just didn't know if it was a normal thing to do so I am going to put it on the list. Plus, it is my labor it shouldn't matter if it is normal or not I guess just that I am comfortable! =P

Oh My Goodness! I don't think I could wait until I was so close to my due date! I am already so nervous about not being prepared enough for LillyAnna's arrival that I would die of anxiety if I waited until I was 39 weeks and 4 days. BUT, I had an eye opener too... The night before last I woke up from contractions in the middle of the night and was contracting like ten minutes apart for about an hour. It made it very difficult to sleep, so while I was laying there I thought to myself, "OMG what if I was going into labor right now?! I would have nothing ready, my husband and kids would have nothing ready!" It kind of made me think twice about procrastinating on the Labor bags for us all! Haha so now I am planning on everything that I need to pack for myself and I am just going to do it already. Even if I don't go into labor until I am 40+ weeks, at least I won't have to worry about doing it at all because it will already be done!
So I must say... You are for sure Brave <3 =)

Are you still in Chandler? Are you delivering at Chandler Regional? I was at mercy gilbert, and they supplied EVERYTHING. Other than a toothbrush/paste and a hair brush. I brought my own pillow, but DH wound up using it since he stayed on the couch bed in there.

YeS I am still in Chandler. =) That is awesome to talk with someone who gave birth at Mercy-Gilbert Medical Center! That us actually where I will be giving birth! So they provided blankets, burp clothes, pads, and stuff for the baby to wear? I was also curious do they do pictures there, will I need an outfit for the baby? I have so many questions... ;)

I'm usually not one to wait for anything. With DD I think I had it ready to go around 35 weeks. I like to be prepared but I just haven't had any motivation to do ours. I told my fiance' (joking) that I'd be in labor throwing stuff in a bag as I walked out the door but the route I'm going I probably will be   Our trick or treat is tomorrow night so I will make sure I have them together before we go because I'm hoping all the walking gets labor going.

lol, yes they provide burp cloths, diapers, wipes, desitin, everything. They have those weird little t shirts, so I brought a few outfits that I liked. And they do have a photographer that comes by and does pics. DS was in a sleeper and had a blanket my mom made and his stuffed monkey in the pics with him, it was cute. I was really happy to get into my own clothes, I hated the gowns. Nice cami's and comfy pj pants. Didn't need undies, since they give you pads and mesh undies....I didn't wanna get mine dirty at all, lol. lets see, what else....I made sure DH had some stuff too, since he barely left, and deodorant! I was so happy to brush my teeth lol. but they really give you everything, even formula if you wind up needing it. They give you the baby blankets, but they are kinda lame...I liked having the one my mom made. And they come around and give you a little crocheted hat

Weird!!! I just wrote a whole paragraph an it didn't submit! That sucks! Anyways... I think that is a good Idea to pack before you go! Walking that much could very well put you in to labor at any time! I don't usually procrastinate but my husband sure does! He always waits until last minute! Maybe if the walking does put you into labor you can get on my Topic here and share! =) That would be so awesome for you if it did! ;) I will keep good thoughts for you! That is funny that you said that to your husband, I said something similar but that it would be him doing that for his things haha he is the worst at procrastinating, knowing him that is probably what will happen too! Haha
