First Time Big Sister :)

posted 26th Oct
My daughter is very excited about having a little sister. She talks about what she's going to do with the baby and how she's going to help mommy with the baby. I find that to be awesome, but I'm just hoping she keeps that same attitude about the baby and helping mommy when the baby is actually here. I always reassure her that I love her and the baby equally. I know for me, before my little sister was born I was excited about her and then when she got here, I switched up. Just hoping my big girl doesn't switch up.

My nephew is about a year older than his sister and 2 year's older than his baby brother...yeah, my sister kinda clumped them together lol...and he LOVES helping to feed the babies. He'll help put the spoon in sissy's mouth and likes helping hold the bottle for his brother.
It's cute

awwww   that's cute. My daughter said to me tonight she's going to change her diapers except the poopy diapers and cleaning spit up. The poopy diapers and spit up is a mother's job...lol. I just want her to stay just excited as I am

lol He doesn't get that...he thinks that because he's still having fun, they should still be hungry. He's a sweetie though...definitely protective of his siblings

I'm hoping for same here. DD says all the time "I can't wait to meet my little sister" but ya hoping she stays excited when baby gets here. Also today we were talking about her helping mommy change diapers, she thought about it and said "no because it's stinky. I will take baby to the potty and teach her" lol

Now that is too cute. I think both of our daughters will adjust fine to the new babies. Just as long as we keep them involved. Being a new parent all over again you tend to forget sometimes.

I hope so, after talking to someone who had a 3.5yr old who told me she was their first born was excited before the baby and then tried to kick the newborn and such out of jealousy has me terrified.

Terrified isn't the word. My daughter is 8 yrs old and I wish her little butt would do something outrageous like that. I would be in jail and some more.
