Do you have to supply your own diapers and wipes that's also on my hospital list? Don't forget a car seat for baby and a blanket

the things I regret not taking were nipple pads, nipple cream and a bloody hair bobble, ended up using a giant elastic band that a nurse gave me, which ripped half my hair out lol.

I don't believe a breast pump would be necessary at the hospital. Those first few days should be breast exclusively to establish a good latch and just to get used to each other, that's just my personal opinion though. Unless you have to go back to work or school sooner than 6 weeks.

His daddy wants to feed him, and I have to buy a pump still...that's why I wanted to know. lol But if it's not a 100% necessary thing, then I won't worry 'bout it

understandable. I would say to let dad wait for the first few days though just to not confuse baby, if you wanna exclusively breastfeed for awhile. and it's definitely not a 100% necessary thing.

Yeahhhh...sounds like a plan. I'm still torn on how long I'm gonna exclusively breast feed because of school and his daddy is looking forward to feeding him....but yeah. I don't want him to be confused on how to latch

My boyfriend is really looking forward to feeding our little one when he comes but we decided to at least wait until after 4 weeks of me breastfeeding. That way he knows how to latch and all that good stuff and he gets all the nutrients he needs. It's also good to do that because of the bonding time with the baby. If you have to use a nipple shield to get your baby to latch on properly though, bottle feeding won't be a bad thing if it's sooner. Just try and get the baby to latch on to your nipple without the shield a few times a day to see if s/he will do it cause it makes things a bit simpler. Some babies do fine with the nipple to bottle nipple transfer, others are really picky about it so i wish you luck!
