He is Amazing

posted 26th Oct
Yes...I know I bitch about my SO all the time...and there is things that he needs to improve on. But he is doing his damnedest to do right by his little boy.
We've been trying to find a cheap, reliable, cost effective car *HA!* and he found one that someone was willing to trade for an xbox...that deal fell through because the guy got an offer of money instead...so yeah. But something crawled up SO's butt, because since then he's decided to sell his "babies" to get money to put aside for little one and try to get us a car so we don't have to depend on my parents.
He's sold 2 of his video games, almost sold his psp, some guy is going to buy his laptop off him next week (he's an older guy who has to wait for his Social Security check to come in or something like that), someone is interested in his xbox360, and he's trying to bring himself to sell his guitars. He's also desperately trying to find work, and applying for a smurf ton of jobs so that he can provide for his family.
He got pissed at my sister the other day because she laughed at him when he asked her if she knew anyone trying to sell a cheap family car. She actually had the balls to tell him "Yeah...I'll ask around. It's not like you have any money though." When he explained he was selling everything he owns of value to earn the money, she replied "wow...you're taking this whole dad thing WAY too seriously". I'm honestly surprised my SO had the self control to walk away without saying anything. He's not one to usually do that...
It's finally starting to feel like he cares and is putting me and LO first...and I kind of want to do something special for him because of it...but I don't know what   Any ideas?

Give him head? haha jk about that but that is amazing. I don't even think my husband would go to those lengths to provide for our kids.

As for a gift, if you guys don't really have money for a car then I am assuming that it is tight all around. Just do something you wouldn't normally do for him, like maybe a romantic dinner, light some candles, a sexy cd playing... Be creative

haha He keeps trying to get me too...but the thought of it makes me pukey   He's trying to prove that he's good enough to be there for our baby. He has extreme self worth issues, and him having problems with employment doesn't help.

I'm not opposed to spending a little money...I get money for going to school, and can spare some. The hard part about finding something nice to do for him because we live with my parents and we get NO privacy   We can't even fight without my parents trying to butt their noses into it. I thought about maybe seeing if there's a movie I think he would like going to playing in the theater...but last time my dad (gotta love him) refused to let us just hang out. He texted us ever 10 minutes, and then picked us up right after the movie was over. lol So I'm not sure how well that would work out...

LOL DH always tries to get me to go down on him and it generally takes me drinking to be able to stand doing it. Just pounce on him one night when he is watching tv lol surprise sex!

Tell your dad to butt out. You are already knocked up so what is the worst that can happen?

Maybe don't let him sell his xbox and buy him a game? If your parents won't let you guys have privacy then it is hard to do anything. We have gone back to live with parents and it is terrible especially because at his parents we were in the living room with absolutely no privacy.

On a side note, I am majoring in early childhood education too!

haha I didn't mind doing it before I got pregnant...but now it makes me sick. I feel bad for him because I can't have sex either   It hurts and I get sick for a couple days from it...it's LAME!
haha he's not worried about me getting knocked up...he was happy when that happened (got my boyfriend drunk though because he was the one freaking out... lol He'd never had rum until then). He's worried that I'm gonna get kidnapped or fall down or something. lmao He won't even let walk in the store without hovering over me. (I'm having mobility problems from LO being on my Sciatic Nerve   )
He has a guy willing to pay over 200$ for it...I'm not gonna be able to talk him out of selling it   He is keeping the game I got him for Christmas though... lol He has another xbox that has the "red ring of death" that a shop in the mall told him they'll fix for like 70 bucks. I would HATE living in the living room...we have our own room...right off the living room (lol) and we have no privacy...my family listens at the door to find out what we're doing. He was moving the bed the other day and my brother yelled "GUYS! REALLY?! That's MY bed! Knock it off!" lmao We're using his bed since we dont have a bed frame

Whoo hoo! I'm majoring in early childhood education and english...love reading and writing, but want to teach preschoolers lol What do you want to teach?

Eww my last baby was on my sciatic nerve too and it was painful! Aww daddy dearest is just being protective then. Really can't do anything about that lol. Heh we fixed our red-ring xbox on our own and it worked great after that. Cost $10 for the tool set we needed and electrical tape. And $0.08 XD

I want to have my own daycare once we can buy a house. I know I don't need the degree for that but figure it will help me out in the long run with being successful in running a daycare. I am also going to go for education paraprofessional. My husband is going for business logistics management but I am helping him out since he works full time so I am learning the business aspect and getting ideas for when I can have my own haha!

Yeahh...I can't keep him off it   It's lame. I have a maternity belt thing that's supposed to help with the pain...but LO kicks it off because he doesn't like the feeling of being squished   lol My mom didn't believe me that he did that...then I wore it to the grocery store and it popped off while we were shopping. She almost died of laughter. And the guy said because he has 3/4 red lights, that it's a *not welding...but I can't remember the word   * problem. And if they screwed it up, we'd get it done for free and they'd replace the xbox...which kind of makes me want them to mess up if we do that...

I used to want my own daycare...but my dad had his own and I couldn't manage it. WAY too much stress...maybe a small in-home one...but that's all I could handle   It kinda pisses me off that the requirements aren't more for daycare workers...it's like really? A 8 hour class is all that's needed (in WA state) to work with infants. You need more education to be able to flip burgers at McDonalds
ANYWAY! lol You're getting 2 educations for the price of 1   Seems like a good deal to me lol
