See I thought mucous plug was clear or yellow and bloody show was red or brown! ? She told me my ob was at the hospital but not to.come in unless I'm bleeding our having regular contractions....seems odd since I've had preterm labor and im not even 36 weeks yet...I'm hoping when my ob is done they tell her and she calls.

That's crazy.. I hate nurses at dr offices... Lol they always seem to brush everything off -___-

Wow that's kinda crazy.... Well mine had blood too, so idk honestly what the difference is between plug and show?!

Take my advice , you have the right to go in for obsevation regardless even for peace of mind!! I' am sure she did not have your chart in front of her to know your history of having babies early!! LOL silly nurses should know better!!

Well my ob called..said unless I'm contracting to just monitor it...so ill wait...

It could be a combination of both due to the fact we can not see the color of your mucus because of the bloody show this may be from!!

Good luck hun. That looks like an awful lot.

I didn't go in...my contractions were so irregular...like 9 minutes apart..then 8..then 6..then back to 9... ...

I went to bed and seriously got some of the BEST sleep I've had this entire pregnancy... usually I'm up every 10-15 minutes to pee or flip over b/c I'm so uncomfortable..and nope..i was up ONCE at 6 am to pee... my hips are killing me and my back is too this morning but I feel good... no regular contractions....
it's almost like it took that pressure away! and replaced it with other things..lol

we'll see how the day goes..

I will say my contractions moved from more the top and middle of my belly to under my belly button and lower last night...if that means anything.
when I wiped this morning I had some lighter red/brown mucous but it was just a little not near like that...so I don't know wtf is going on....

I think that they aren't having you come in because it's just your mucous plug. There is NO WAY it is a piece of your placenta. You can lose that and still be pregnant for 3 weeks but it is a sign that your body is making progress. Also, it regenerates so you might have more mucousy discharge until you do go into labor. Also, they wont stop your labor now, so that is why it is fine for you to stay home...But take it easy lady if you want him to stay in!

Don't panic. It doesnt look like anyone elses plug because it isn't anyone elses plug. I was losing plug from 28 weeks on to 38 weeks. It keeps regenerating so don't worry about the amount. If you start getting crazy contractions you can't talk through, then it might he worth worrying about and going to L and D for. Otherwise there isnt much they can do about a pkug if you kwim. Doubt its your placenta.

It doesn't look like a piece of placenta at all. It looks like a large plug. I've seen a few that size.
