Is it infected?

posted 26th Oct
It's been 3 weeks since my csection and I haven't had any oozing or blood but above and under the incision is red is this normal? I know the itchiness is normal but not sure If it should be red.

Is it tender or warm to the touch? If so, it might be infected.

If its warm to the touch its probably infected. This happened to me and my dr just said clean it with peroxide and put neosporin on it.
i also covered mine with gauze just in case

I never had a csection but I have had abdominal surgery. My incisions got red, puffy, and crusted at the edges. I thought that I would have giant gaping scars but they closed up nicely.

I had something similar, it ended up being a kind of yeast infection, I had to go get like, the anti-fungal spray they use for athlete's foot and it cleared it up.

You can put tanactin foot powder on it to keep it good and dry so it don't get infected...That's what my doctor told me to put on mine!
