Trying, trying, trying!

I'm new here, my first post.
Just wondering if anyone has any insight on ovulation tests? I did a ovulation calendar on WebMD that was waaaay off, took a test twice yesterday, one negative then one last night saying I was ovulating. Is it true you should take advantage of the 24 to 48 hr window to increase your chances of getting pregnant.
I also was on the pill but discontinued it about 3 months ago.
New to all of this, just need some advice as to what to do to maximize my changes of conceiving.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Depending on how long you were on the pill, it could take up to a year before you are able to conceive, just be prepared that it might not happen right away.

Yes I'm almost 26 and was on the pill since I was about 15. I've heard of people getting pregnant right away and some people it takes forever.
Thank you
