I become pre eclamptic, also. Pre - E is a serious condition and it's always something to keep closely monitored. Early onset is especially worrisome. I'd DEFINITELY alert your doc immediately.

Sadly, the cause of pre-e is unknown, so there is no known cure other than abortion or delivery. This is why early onset is detrimental.

You could stop smoking if you smoke ( I never have smoked, so that wasn't an option for me). High blood pressure is simply a SYMPTOM of pre-e...it's not what pre-e is. You can go on hypertension medication, but that's not regularly affective.

My high BP started with my first after 20 weeks but with this one I've been on BP mess since 5-6 weeks. Make an appt with your Dr!!

Working in that kind of environment does not help an already high BP. You have to make sure to take care of you and baby before work. If you're leaving that job they'll be managing without you soon anyway...

I'd be MOST concerned about my unborn child's well-being. I'd absolutely "inconvenience" others if it meant keeping my child safe.

I know... I should be thinking that way too. I'm trying. Today is going to be about focusing on me and on baby's well-being. I think you asked a question about smoking. I don't smoke. I've cut out salt and sugar( just kind of developed an aversion to it!). Had to change my diet due to celiac disease, so I'm trying to make the necessary changes. I am just super worried because I am leaving this job and starting a new one and can't afford not to work. I am thinking if I can at least take it easy and transition smoothly into the next job, then at least I can apply for short-term disability insurance at the new job, if worst comes to worse. It's 100% employer paid. But I don't know if there are any stipulations associated with it. Iso i may very well be screwed no matter what i do. i don't know... This was kind of an unexpected pregnancy (was on bc) that led me to make a job change really fast, and now this health concern. I just hope if meds are prescribed ( and are effective) and with enough rest, that I can have a good pregnancy. I hope it doesn't sound selfish. I just know being without income/having to leave my job would suck, but having complications with baby would be the ultimate worst. Maybe I'm gettin ahead of myself. I tend to catastrophise things i cant predict, which is ironic because I help Clients identify ways to avoid/cope with catastrophic thinking!!
