YAY!!! I knew you would love it! I love my birth center experience! I would do that again in a heartbeat! The one I went to was nothing like a hospital. No iv's no anything just you and a midwife. If you are comfortable I promise you will LOVE it.

I have had three birth center births and they all were amazing!! I love my midwife and how i felt in the space. So much more freedom in birth centers i think!! I'm glad you like your center you will have a wonderful time .

Thanks ladies, now the only thing i am worried about is the office manager did reccomend if it was your first birth center birth to get a doula, do you agree or do you think ill be fine without one?

I didn't use mine. Teach hubby pressure points to help relieve pain and I never used the Bradley method breathing. I used panting and "birthday candles" where you breathe like your blowing birthday candles. There's more a doula does then helping with breathing and massage but I am not comfortable with strangers. So I had hubby do it. I already taught my new hubby everything that works for me. It is easy but if you feel your hubby can't keep you focused then maybe use a doula.

oh wow yea i will have to do some research and start practicing

What worked for me was bending over and my husband pushing on my hips and back. the reverse pressure did wonders. He does it now and it helps with pain and moves baby's head to a better spot. But I only used panting and birthday candle breathing for labor. I also just followed my body on when to push. Which if you do that you are more effective and get it out quicker. Which for me was only two pushes. So I let my body decide when to push. But this time around I am going to do squatting because it is the most effective position to push. On your back makes your pelvic bones push together and the hardest for baby to pass and hardest to push through =more pain. I have been researching like crazy. Business of being born has a few tricks on it. But you can look up information on any midwifery website. But you have freedom and options with birth centers so make sure you find what works for YOU and just know what options you have for labor.
