Baby Breathing in Belly

When I went to my 34 week non-stress test, she said she was looking for fetal breathing, and baby Laya was practicing her breathing but yesterday at 35 weeks and 3 days I was relaxing watching a movie and I could see and feel my belly moving as if she was breathing, do you think that is what I was feeling? I know what hiccups are and this was defiantly NOT it. It was so cool, I never felt it with my son.

 

I doubt it.

Probably not. My stomach does that now at 21 weeks. Probably just wiggling and getting comfortable.

Well It wasn't her wiggling around because believe me I know what that feels like, she is a pro at moving. We will see, tomorrow I have my doc appt with my fetal specialist I will ask him and see if it is possible...

Think about it. If you were underwater in a swimming pool, do you think people standing on the edge could see you breathing? Your baby isn't taking deep "breaths", they're inhaling very tiny amounts of amniotic fluid into their very tiny lungs.
I very highly doubt it's possible.

Okay, so today I asked my OBGYN who specializes in maternal-fetal medicine, told me that YES it's possible!!!   If her chest is up against the wall we will be able to see it. So yes it's possible.

I experienced the SAME thing the other day but wasnt sure if it was possible but like you said if his back is right up against my stomach and me being so tiny I'm sure it is possible! Thats to cool!!!
