Baby's Heartbeat

posted 25th Oct
My mom is a big believer in being able to tell what you are having by how high the baby's heartbeat is. (Low heartbeats are a boy, and a high heartbeat is a girl) I was just wondering if anyone else believes that & if it really is a way to guess what you are having before you can find out.

LO's was always high and he's all boy. It's fun to make predictions, though.

Both my girls had high heart rates and my dr. said from the beginning that I was having a girl because her heartrate was aroun 168, she was not completely serious but my mom (a labor and delivery nurse) said the same thing. We ended up having a girl. I don't think I would put money on it but it was kinda crazy that it happened that way

My son's heartrate jumped around a lot. It went as low as 138 to as high as 182. It wasn't until the third trimester that he stayed in the 140s.

My girl's heartrate has been in the 130's. I promise heartrate does not determine gender.
