This. Abortion, education, and gay rights are HUGE hot issues for me. I cant sway my thoughts with them. Same with animal rights. If you go against my huge issues... Im done.

Quoting MommyingWithGrace:" I support it, but my husband...not so much. He doesnt get in people's business. He just thinks it's gross. He also has a hard time holding in his laughter when gay guys do the whole hand thing."

Wow, thats the most childish thing I've ever heard. "Why are you laughing hun?" "OMG LOOK AT THOSE GAYS THEY BE HOLDIN HANDS!"

I get it now. It's SO funny!

Id look at him and say while he thinks gays are gross.... the thought that he could actually get someone with more than half a braincell is gross to me. Why anyone would degrade themselves and date someone like that.... beyond me.

Thats on you though. I sure as hell wouldnt even want him as a friend.

And those are your thoughts. Not everyone has the same beliefs.

No smurf sherlock. I've heard of people disagreeing, obviously. But to laugh over two men holding hands.... I know kindergarteners who have a more adult mentality about that matter even if they were brought up to not believe in homosexuality.

When did I ever say it was okay? I think it is horribly wrong to laugh or make fun of someone because of their sexual identity.

So what was the point of your post?

"And those are your beliefs. Not everyone has the same beliefs."

Mmmmkay, so whats your point then? I already made a statement about how they could date someone like that and not understanding it, and said "Thats on you though. I sure as hell wouldn't even want him as a friend."

And your response was as if you were refuting what I said... so again, what the hell was your point then!?!

My point was that I am married to a guy who does not support nor does he disagree with gay rights. What is so hard to understand?

Um, the fact that you didnt even say that in your post, and I wasnt even responding to your post. I wasn't stating that everyone had those beliefs too. So honestly, your comment came out of left-field and didn't even fit into the conversation. It'd be different if I was responding to YOU, but I wasnt. And you never once said you were married to a guy that doesnt support nor disagree with gay rights.

So yeah, it is hard to understand when you dont even type out what the smurf you meant.

But what I am wondering, how can someone not support something but not disagree with it? He has NO thoughts about the subject at all? Braindead on it? He won't support marriage, but doesnt disagree either? That makes a whole lot of NONsense.
