Induction doesn't seem to be working   have 6 hours on a hormone drip today to see if it finally dilated me but if not then I'm looking at a section *sigh* it'll be worth it.

Congrats to those that had their babies and good luck to those that r in labor,
I'm now officially past my due date and miserable as hell with no sign of baby. As of today I had 2 membrane sweeps, walked everyday, had plenty of sex and spicy foods, danced silly daily, contracting as close to 5min apart but haven't been making progress so I got sent home and still waiting but only until next week after that we will induce, and I'm hoping it doesnt come to that. For those that r overdue, pray for us and send some labor dust out way please, cause I'm so bitchy that even I don't like who I've become. I need this little girl out of me NOW

My baby boy is finally here! He was born 11-27-12. I went in Monday night for a balloon to dilate me and it got me to 3 by Tuesday morning. They started pitocin then and I dilated pretty quick. Got my epidural and hardly felt anything until it was time to push. I pushed for 2 hours and was making no progress. The doctor said he didnt think the baby was going to make it past my pelvic bone and I could have a c-section or try to push for a few more hours and see how it goes. I was in such tremendous pain I agreed to the c-section. At 5:25 my baby boy was born 9 pounds and 11 ounces 22.5 inches long!! They said there is no way I could have delivered him vaginally because my pelvic bone is so small and didnt want to seperate correctly. The c-section wasn't too bad but recovery is rough!   My poor husband has done almost everything on no sleep (except breast feed that is lol) LO is having some issues with that but I am pumping and hoping my milk comes in soon.

YOu should use a sns while you wait for the milk to come in, that is what i did and it kept her from getting nipple confusion and helped to bring the milk in all while making sure she was getting enough food. I pumped what i could of course and put that in the sns and had to supplement a tiny bit but now that the milk is a flowing she is doing great. just a suggestion. I know how tough it is when your baby is not getting satisfied while waiting for milk to come i and doctors and nurses are pushing for you to give them a bottle.

Quoting ~JeNn~ BeAn~:" Thank God my epi worked! It worked every time for all of my babies, and didnt cause me any kind of lasting effects, no back pain nothing."
Epidural is such a magical thing, lol I for some strange reason wanted a natural birth and I got one with this baby. I did good up until midwife broke my water and I went from 6-10 cm in 45 minutes. the last ten minutes or say I actually said SmUrf this give me the epidural and midwife said it was too late which made me really pissed at her. It was the most painful thing i have ever been through in my life. I had thought my epi didnt work with my last kid and after feeling what it really feels like with no pain meds i now Know that it did work just not perfectly. Even now that its been almost 2 weeks since I had my baby I feel that doing it with no pain meds was the dumbest thing i have ever done. I really thought i was going to die. the pushing omg i felt like i tore a new butthole and actually kind of did. any way if i ever have another baby I WILL be getting the epidural. no reason to put my body through that kind of pain when idont have to. Midwife tells me as i am screaming in pain that Amanda you are going to get your natural child birth you wanted. I was like hell to the no you did not just say that. I view her birth as some thing like the exorcist movie. dear god and even after the pain was so intense i kept waiting for relief from the pain it never came. When i had my epidural with my last baby and thought it didnt work when the baby was out it was instant relief i never got that. Epidurals are magical I tell yah lol

Thanks for the advice! I will try that! Yeah his pediatrician already suggested we supplement with formula (which I have been doing some) I have been trying to pump every 2-3 hours and so far we are using less formula than when we were in the hospital. I think I am having some engorgement though and that is making it even more difficult for him to latch on.

but i never yelled or screamed or anything thru my labor, i was so calm and collective, even when i was in a lot of pain, but i was on the epi
