Oh my gosh 10 days past my due date I had an induction scheduled for 7 am sunday morning. I decided the night before on saturday that I was going to not have it done and that I would just wait until I was the full 42 weeks to have induction. Well at 2:30 am I had my first contraction and I knew this was it. So all day long I had contractions that were quite intense but did not seem very close together staying about 5-8 minutes apart. I decided to check my own cervix and was able to get two fingers and was able to spread them quite far apart. I guessed I was about 4 cm. My husband did a check and he said he would say definitely 5. So my contractions were getting really bad this was about 445 pm so I called my midwife and we decided I should come in to be check and if I was about 5 cm she would admit me and start the antibiotics for the gbs so I went in around 530pm. She checked me and said I was at least 5 cm and that we were going to have a baby tonight. So they started the iv and in the tub I went where I stayed for about 3 hours, she came in and said lets break your water. I said oh no but its going to hurt so much more and she said yup but your going to have her quick. So in the bed I went and she broke my water where with in minutes the contractions felt like they were going to kill me. I made it through a few of them before I felt like I couldnt take it any more thats when I begged for the epidural they kept saying you wanted to do this amanda you can make it. You are so close you can do it bla bla bla, that only pissed me off. well I kept saying I felt like I had to poop and that I needed to poop well my midwife said if I want to push to go ahead and push a little bit and if it was time to push it would feel better. At that point I said hell no it hurts too much so any way she wanted to check me again and she said I was about 9 and a half cm and that if I wanted to do some pushing that she would stretch my cervix. I didnt want to so I survived another contraction. The next one I couldnt take it any longer I needed to push so I did just a little bit and then this urge took over that I no longer had any control over and my body just started pushing and I couldnt stop. I screamed asking if her head was out because It hurt and burned so bad and I thought I was no where near getting her out and i wanted to quit, finally some one said yes her head is out, next thing I know my midwife has a foot up on the bed gaining some leverage because little emily got stuck and she began to pull. I took a deep breath and started to push again along with those pushes I was screaming my ass off saying all kinds of crazy crap, like get this bitch the smurf out! Things I would not normally say, after all this my baby still half born half not my midwife asked me to take a break I was like hell no I cant I cant, well a few more pushes later and I finally felt her coming out and then sweet relief. They put her on my chest and I realized how beefy she was. I bled and bled alot so they would not leave me alone for while givng me pitocin and some other stuff to stop the bleeding. Any way her little face is so bruised and purple from coming out so fast. She is huge, bruised and perfect all at once measuring 20 inches long and weighing 9 pounds 5 ounces.

My little man came a day before his due date, November 17th at 1:52 am! I had an easy labour. Only about 4 hours of labour and 30 minutes of pushing. He was 8 lbs 4oz and 20 inches long!! I'm a proud mommy

Congratulations!!   Im due in 2 days.. I hope I have an easy labor lol! I sadly have no signs of labor being close!   At my appointment last week I wasnt even dilated and not sure about effacement but my doctor said my cervix has moved down. We are doing induction on the 27th if he doesn't come by then!

I want my baby  

I had my LO on November 18th, 1 day past her due date. Although I was in labour for 48 hours! My baby girl weighs 7lbs and 1oz, 20.3 inches long and she's the cutest little thing. <3   My labour was brutal though, but delivery went well, I only pushed for an hour and it flew by.

Im going by my first due date which is November 26th! Only 6 days! Woohoo and I do think he will be here around then!! Not on the 4th of December.

Thanks! And hang in there mama, once baby is here it will seem like it went by too fast. Keep us posted!!

Also I would NOT recommend the epidural. I got one because I was induced and my contranctions were very strong, but it didn't even work on half of my body so I could still feel everything. It also made me extremely itchy and uncomfortable and gave me a sore back later on. When the whole time I was pretty much having a natural birth because the epi didn't work! But it's different for everyone, next time I will not be getting one though.
