since we livedc out in tijeras last yer i kept her at A. montoya. but next fall she will go to Apache if we are still living here.

Oh so she is part of APS? My son is a year to young to be in APS prek just yet.

its not about "school" or whether its important. they call CPS to make sure there's nothing going on at home that's preventing the parent from being able to get their child to school on time / at all.

yeah she is... she qualified for preschool because of her delays and stuff and has an IEP and has therapy each week. maybe one day when i can afford it i will put them in montessori schools or whatever they are.

Oh I see. Julian has an IEP, he needs speech therapy but his is only a 4 weeks program. My daughter isnt in APS, I know there is some really great APS schools but the ones in my area are bad. She goes to Horizon Academy, I really like it. Its a charter school so she is on the lottery scholarship, free for all students. Have you tried getting daycare assistance? They will help pay for a Montessori school.

I just got my child's IEP finalized and am now able to put her into Pre-K and in the school hand book even for Pre-K if the child misses 10 days in a 4 week period CPS and the school board will have a formal meeting with the parents. That includes the special needs children. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. All the schools around my area are doing this.
