my on is 3 weeks old and his breathing is really starting to scare me..we saw the pediatrition the other day and they were hecking hm for breathingproblems. They said his heart and lungs are fine but they want me to go back next month so they can check again but they also told me not to worry. But it's like since the appt i have been worrying more and now it's really starting to scare me because i am up with him right now and he is wheezing and breathing really fast. I am scared to even leave him for a minute now. When he stops breathing all weird i get up to check cuz im scared one of these days he is just going to stop breathing. I have never been so scared in my life

Hes wheezing? I think everythings fine. My daughters 5 months now when she was born to about a month old shes breathe all hard then stop and act like a huge gust of wind hit her but grew out of it. They are new to this world everythings fine tho im sure. Try to relax

I would take him to the ER if you're that worried. Hope he gets better soon!

My son would randomly breathe funny as a newborn and it scared the smurf out of me. I was terrified, absolutely terrified, that something was wrong and that he would die from SIDS. Turns out it's a normal thing for newborns.
It could be something, and you're right to have his pedi check it out, but it's probably nothing to worry about. Best wishes.

My son did this and I was adamant that he was going to stop breathing.
If the doctors sent you both home then don't worry. If you're really worried about when you and they sleep why not buy one of those mats you put under them so it alerts you if they're still for too long - just so you can sleep a bit better because your baby will need you well rested and so will you

My youngest was the weirdest breather for the first few weeks and it scared the poo out of me! I think it's pretty common
