count spotting?

For tracking your cycle, if I bleed for 5 days and have spotting/very light bleeding on the last 2 days, do you count the last 2 days as period days?
Does it affect my ovulation tracking if i do? because I always have... but I guess it's not because its just like discharge, which is cleaning up everything... so that means that on day 6 my body is starting the process of thickening the lining to ovulate again right?

When I charted with NFP I couldn't all bleeding days after the start of my period as period days. And charted from there up to ovulation days, and then the lunar cycle. If that makes sense.

And it was always the same every month. Ovulated on cd 18 and my period would start again 12 days later.
