Does it work? Can you still breastfeed with it??

I want a birth control that doesnt get inserted, like the IUD or that thing that goes in your arm, I dont want the depo shot either.... choices arent very large but... I need something since my bf is a typical guy and being abstinent wouldnt work for him although it would be my best option.

I don't think you can... you can w/ the mini pill though & the Implanon. It really isn't bad getting inserted *shrug*

I would highly recommend not getting it if you are breastfeeding. I got it and it lowered my supply really badly and now I barely make enough. I have to drink a nursing tea to help increase my supply so I can feed him.

My problem with the IUD is my mom's friend had the IUD and it made her brain think she had a brain tumor and the fluid around her brain started leaking and she lost vision in her upper right eye and has been on bed rest for the last (at least) 3 months. But she had the mirena, I still dont want anything inserted. I dont trust them. My mom had that one that goes in your arm and lost an ovary because she kept getting cysts on her ovary from it. They're great birth controls but have really crappy and dangerous side effects.

Thank you. And I'm sorry it did that =( I'm trying to get him off of formula so that would be really hard if my milk supply was even lower.

I hated the patch. Thats how i ended up with baby #3. After a few days it would get all gunky around the edges & the adhesive was a pain to get off once you removed it

Yeah I really regret getting on it. I had a great supply before, and I was even able to produce enough to pump. Now that I need to pump I don't make enough.

That all sounds like extremely rare, worst case scenario cases. All BC has side effects & if you rule out all of those you're pretty much just left w/ the pill.
