Hospital protocols always seem to interfere in one way or another. I wish I had been as informed as you ladies the 1st time around.. I naively trusted my doctor and ended up with my water broke, on pitocin, stuck in bed, just because my labor had stalled throughout the night before... I also had horrible back labor because he was in the wrong position, but couldn't turn after all that ... then I ended up with a c-section when I was 'stuck' at 7 cm for like 45 min...
