false labor

Ive been having braxton hicks/false labor since like 11 this morning. My contractions are irregular but no matter what I do, they won't subside - walking, eating, sitting, laying on my side, drinking water, ect.- nothing works. So I've just accepted that there isnt anything I can do but try to relax haha - but then Im reading online and it says that contractions, in general, before 37 weeks should be checked out. Im not 37 weeks until Thursday - so my question is: do you think Im close enough to 37 weeks that I should just go about it as if I am already 37 weeks or should I go ahead and call since Im not technically there yet?
The main reason Im worried about it is because other than being irregular, I just can't make them stop!! haha What do you think??

i think if you are concerned you need to go see your doc . Even if its nothing atleast you know and can maybe relax a bit  

they probably not braxton hicks . I contracted for 5 days straight non stop . they ranged from every two to 5 minutes apart. never regularlated til my water broke

my dr said if braxton hicks last more than an hour to call.

it might not be false....i'd call L&D.

what if they don't really hurt, they're just uncomfortable?? you still think i should call??

i feel so silly cus ive done so much reading and trying to prepare and stuff so i would know what to do when this stuff started happening and its like i still feel clueless  

i stayed home for what i thought was BH and finally went in to L&D thinking i would be sent home and BAM was in labour and had no idea ! i figured the pain would be stronger but i was way off . I had my daughter 3 hours later

if they keep coming for more than an hour i'd call L&D to see what you should do

Since you have tried everything else, I would go into L and D. Get checked. You will then know what is going on. Good luck!

thanks so much for the input! i havent been countin/timing cus they are so irregular but im going to start timing for a few so i have some numbers to tell them when i call - but i think i will at least give them a ring. at least now even if they tell me its nothing, i have my BG girls' behind me that thought i should call too and i dont have to feel silly...  

I think you need to call your doc right away. It's not good to have that frequent contractions because your baby's oxygen supply decreases with each contraction. Better to be on the safe side mommy!

I think you should go to labor and delivery and just get checked...you won't be able to rest until you know! Pack your bags just in case...good luck =)
