How to decide to have more than one???

posted 24th Oct
I'm currently expecting my first child and until yesterday I was so sure that I would have 2 or 3 more after this (if possible). But now that I am almost done, I can't imagine going through pregnancy again. I would rather adopt or foster to expand my family. I'm just wondering how many Mommas here plan to have more and how they decided that...or deciding to stop at just one? I guess I just want your stories on how they knew they were done having babies....or how you know you are not.   My partner doesn't really care regardless, he says it's up to me and our financial situation. Which is considerate, but doesn't help me very much. So any personal experience or advice would be great! Thanks in advance!

I always wanted 2 or 4 (don't want a middle child) until recently my mom has been such a bitch to me and my oldest brother and treating the middle one like a king or something. I don't ever want to be like that so I'm not sure if I want anymore.

EDIT: My pregnancy was amazing and so was labor and delivery. That definitely wouldn't stop me from having another one.

It could be worse. SO is forcing me to have one and threatening a vasectomy.

My pregnancy was miserable. I hated it. Worst experience of my life thus far.

However, as soon as your deliver, you forget all about it. The outcome is much greater than the baking part.

We are still on the fence about another one. I feel like I am already going crazy with one toddler, so I am going to wait to see how I feel when LO gets into school.

I started off not pregnant wanting 2 for sure!!

Got pregnant had the perfect little guy. He was an easy baby. Slept great ate well no issues to milk. Going from bottle to cup was easy. So I was doubting it I was thinking "no way will the 2nd be this easy, this good!" Then I got baby fever while hubby was deployed and he missed out on babies life from 3 months to a year. And we'll he came out BC went out the window and we got pregnant. But something in me just knew I wanted to be a mother of 2.

I had my son at 16 and just knew i wanted more. I had my daughter at 19 and we'll probably have one more in a few years once we have a bigger house.

I hated being pregnant and didn't know if I would do it again. I did decide to have another one. I felt my son needed a sibling and I wanted to try for a girl. I had another boy, but I was happy about that too. I, however, don't feel like I am going to go for a third one. Pregnancy is super hard on my body and I hated almost every moment of it (except for the feeling him inside but even that sucked at the end). My MIL really wants me to try for a girl again, but I feel like I was only suppose to have 2 kids. We will see though.

I never wanted any kids... so when I had *1* I knew eventually I would want him to have siblings and since I didn't stay with his father, I knew the chances that I would find some1 that wouldn't want kids and would just be happy with my 1 child with some1 else would be slim to none lol
