Yikes! That's awful! I was getting daily migraines for a while (sometimes still do) and I can't function. There's some medication that can really help and at the very, VERY least they can give you strong pain management for it. A scan is pretty standard to rule out anything before diagnosing migraines though and not a bad idea. Still, you shouldn't have to suffer like that. If they're that bad I might just go to the ER or a 24 hour clinic and get something to hold you off until you talk to your doctor.

UPDATE in case anyone is still following this thread: Went back to the dr yesterday for a follow up since they never called me about my results. All of my blood work came back negative for RA and Lupus and everything else was normal. Prescribed me vicodin for the pain while I wait on a referral to an rheumatologist.

Will update again after that.

Well that's good it's nothing more serious! Hopefully the next doctor can give you some answers.

I hope so! My dr said that even though the test for RA came back negative, I could still have it. So that's why he put in the referral. The next dr *should* be able to give me some answers.
