3.9 lbs and dropped to 3.3 lbs. How about your handsome little guy?

He was 2 pounds 4.9 ounces. He has a syndrome which causes him to be small. They said that he was small for his gestational age but I don't know anybody else who has had a baby at 31 weeks so I wasn't sure how small he was compared to others.

Well, every baby is different and that isnt too far off at all! My first boy was born at 30w3d and he weighed 3.3 lbs but dropped to 2.9 lbs. I'm very sorry to hear about that though....If you dont mind me asking, what syndrome is it?

He has Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. They told me before he was born that he was small. I know every baby was different I was just curious as to how far they thought he was off. Not much I guess.

Awe mama that is crazy...he is in my thoughts! Arian apparently has a rare genetic brain disorder... They said he wouldn't live passed infancy but we are seeing a geneticist and neurologist and so far he is amazing everyone and meeting all his milestones!

Eli is doing really well with growing. I mean he is small. The syndrome causes small stature. But he has went from 2 pounds to 14 pounds in almost 11 months and he has never once lost weight. Most CdLS babies are nowhere on "typical children" growth charts. Last time I knew Eli was in like the 3rd percentile on a typical chart!   I'm glad to hear that Arian is doinng good as well.
