Almost 18 weeks

posted 23rd Oct
I am almost 18 weeks pregnant and I was just wondering how many other women have continued to exercise regularly throughout their pregnancy and how far do you plan on keeping at it?

I exercised regularly in my first two pregnancies and had planned on keeping it up right up until the end because I had such comfortable pregnancies. Unfortunately, several boughts with ptl made me have to change my plans. As a result I chose not to exercise with number 3 and although my body paid the price for that choice, at least my baby didn't.

I didnt exercise as I would when I wasnt pregnant but I did jog up until 4n1/2 months. I then walked for the remainder of my pregnancy, everyday.

I'm not sure how much it helped for during delivery but it sure helped to get my body back after delivery

well maybe it had a little part in, it's really hard to say for me. My first two labours were each 2 hours and 48 minutes, my first was 5 pushes and my 2nd was 3 pushes. My third was a 7 hour labour and I pushed for 45 minutes, difference being that I had a huge uterus due to polyhydrominos that time and a rather short cord of just over a foot, so there was no slack to the cord for him to come out until it got too roughed up in delivery and the cord died prematurely and I guess got more slack. He was also 9 lbs 8 oz, so 1.5 -2 lbs more than the other two. So he had his fair share of reasons for making a more difficult delivery that weren't to do with my fitness directly but they were linked secondarily since the poly was linked to GD which was wildly out of control due to lack of exercise and he was so big due to the same reason, so I guess it kinda had an impact on the ease of labour.
