I'm all for woman loving themselves, but I don't think people should be encouraged to be fat, I think they should be encouraged to be their best.

I have read about 5 or 10 of her threads over a period of time (maybe more) and I never got that message from any of them.

I actually started this whole thing because people where being smurfs to fat people on here. True story.

Your theory would actually require me to promote habits that are unhealthy, which I don't. This statement also makes the assumption that I am not pursuing healthy habits in my own life. I don't encourage anyone to stay fat or get fat. I encourage positive self-acceptance and health at every size. If someone wants to go on a diet or lose weight, I do not discourage it for other people. I only encourage them to do it out of love for themselves, not hate.

My husband and I are not feeders. My husband is not even a chubby chaser. He just found himself attracted to me. Probably because I'm sassy, funny, a little bit crazy, and my ass is pretty sexy in a tight pair of jeans. He just likes me because of who I am and accepts me as a total package.

Taboo was about this before. The man (and woman) had a goal for her to "eat herself into immobility". He wanted that complete control over her. Because she wouldn't be able to leave the house, wipe her own ass, bathe or even get out of bed. Smurf like that should be illegal. He's basically encouraging her to eat herself to death. And it's like, does she really want that? Or does she simply not want to be alone.

Haha... Well, I will try to be more bitchy in the future....

And I don't think I'm prettier than you!

I don't think that it's encouraging people to necessarily be fat. I think it's just a negative connotation for fat. I mean, with all the weight I have lost, I am still considered very obese, borderline morbidly obese for my height. Yet, according to all doctors tests, I'm healthy as anything, can run after my kids and yet I'm still fat.

I think there should just be a universal acceptance for who you are as a person. Your body image shouldn't come into play unless you want support to change it.

There was another show similar to that. I can't remember if it was on Dr. Phil or TLC or something but anyway the chick was trying to get the Guinness World Record for weight or some smurf. Her family members all supported her...even though she already couldn't leave her house. Smurf made no sense.

And I've seen people be horribly rude to skinny women too. It works both ways toots.

I made that space because of the barrage of fat hater that was going on in a few other threads. They can talk about their bodies and their stories without fear of being harassed because of it.

Some people really need to get their head out of their gaping smurfs and realize that fat people aren't the only people who are ridiculed because of their body size. I know that first hand.

Is this the same as an eating disorder thread?
Sometimes people do no need encouragement when they are heading down an unhealthy path. And I've never seen one person on this site (since 200  who smurf on someone trying to lose weight.
