because he is a preemie

Because Ezra is technically a preemie they have a ton of stuff we HAVE to do with him. Like he can't miss a feeding because his sugar could drop. We have to keep him double wrapped in blankets to keep his temp up. We have to do a car seat stress test with him before he can go home. And the list goes on. Weird that 1 day makes such a difference. I love that little boy though.

So is he going home at the normal time? Was he in the nicu?

Joseph was a preemie technically (36 weeks & 4 days) but he only weighed 5'14.
They were also weary about his blood sugar & had to do the carseat stress test.Other than his size he was healthy

congrats mama! I was just about to go searching to see if you've delivered yet. : )

Even some full-term babies have a hard time adjusting to the world outside of the uterus. I hope he passes his car-seat test okay.   I bet he's a trooper!

Well congrats you finally had the baby   . Don't worry everthing will be fine my Dd was aslo a preemie, and I was able to take her home. Everthing went well with her just a little bit more work. She was so tiny and couldn't fit anything diapers, clother ect.... She's healthy no medical problems and will be 8 in dec. Good luck with the Lo he'll be ok

During a car seat test they put lo in their seat & take his oxygen levels to make sure hes getting enough air. A lot of preemies lungs arent as strong so they cant breath very well in that position. Ds's took 1 1/2 hours

As long as he passes everything he can go home at the normal time. No he wasn't in the nicu at all.

And you are being told what you HAVE to do? By who? I'd fight it. Baby is better off skin to skin with you. He would be warmer and feel safer.
