Controlling ADHD & behavior problems.

So Alyssah was perscribed clonidine foe sleep/behavior/adhd. Anyone ever used it? What should i expect?

My son and daughter have taken it in the past for sleep. It didn't work that well for either of them. However, my nephew is on it and it works like a charm for him. He's asleep within 30 minutes of taking it. He's 10 years old.

ETA: My nephew is also on Concerta during the day for his ADHD. My son was on it as well until he was 16. Concerta works well for both of them.

I would have to give Alyssah 4 1/2mg of melatonin and sometimes she would still wake up. I hope this works for her. And also ive been told she can recieve SSI, for her being ADHD & she was also born with a birth defect & will need more surgeries in the future... I dnt know how true this is so i thought id ask.

My DS has been on it since he was 4 and it has worked wonders for us. You may need to alter the dose. The first dose was too much for him. Then we cut pill in half and that was perfect. I ddn't want a zombie just a calmer child that could get sleep. He is 7 now and still isn't on max dose. We are also on Vyvanse for school and Intuiv after school for sports and half a pill of Clonidine at bedtime.
