Seasonal can still cause it. He really should have his iron tested as well. I would go to an allergist if his iron pans out fine.

Talk to ur docabout allergies. My son gets dark under his eyes when his allergies act up. His doctor said its from allergies. Its the most likely reason if u know hes eating, drinking, and sleeping adequately. Its not something to put off.

Just dark, more like a redish/purplish color.. leaning more towards purplish

Would it do it even with allergy meds? He's on Allegra daily.

I would definitely get that checked out. I'm sure it's just allergies or something, but black eyes is also a symptom of a childhood cancer, neuroblastoma. I hate to even mention it because I don't want to cause you worry, but my friend's son had it and it was his first symptom.

my son is also 4 and has had them since he was a baby. His iron is fine we've had him checked for allergies but it came up clear. He also has eczema and it will flare up around his eyes. I don't care what they say I know he has allergies! No medication makes them go away, and he also sleeps well.
