Im so frustrated and confused!!!

I have a daughter that is about to be 7 years old and she ALWAYS wants to have on something that shows her stomach or super short shorts, she even tries to wear her little sisters clothes (she is 2) so she can show some skin. I have spanked her, i have seperated he clothes for her sisters and put her in time out and its soooooo frustrating!!!! Idk what to do anymore. I tried to talk to her about why she thinks its cute and why she does it and she always says idk. I dont dress like that so im not sure why she does and why she wants to so bad. I need some advice so i can quit pulling my hair out!!!!  

Everywhere you look, women on TV, outside, dolls in display windows... Everywhere, everyone is showing tons of skin! My little sister was the same way ... sit her down and explain why she needs to protect her body, and keep it modest! Take her clothes shopping and let her pick out some modest, new clothing, that may make her feel like she has more control? I'm really weird about showing my skin, so I know how you feel?

I'm thinking the clothes shopping might help because she's at that age when she wants to wear what she wants too? KWIM? So ... Give her a little room to explore but also let her know that if she gets new clothes, she has to chill out with trying on her sisters clothes and dressing out of her element - Hope this helps !

Thank you for the advice!! I talked to her and she says she wants to be like Rocky and CiCi on disney channel. I was like oooohhh i see whats going on. TV does have a big influence.
