Losing baby weight?

posted 22nd Oct
So I've decided that since LO is due end of November/beginning of December...that I want to try to lose the baby weight by the beginning of May. That gives me about 5 months, and I think that should be doable. I'm not going to kill myself over it or anything...but I'd like to be able to not look all squishy for my SO's birthday...we didn't get to do anything for it this year because my grandma was in the hospital and I was visiting her 4-5 times a week...at wonky hours.
I want to be comfortable in my own skin and proud of what I look like because I know he wants me too. I want to be able to not be embarrassed about what I look like, and be able to not want to hide from him

Anywayyyy...any ideas how I can do that? I live in Western Washington, so outside things really won't work...but other than that I'm all ears lol

Lol, this makes me kind of sad. I'm 3mo's PP and still can't fit in my prepregnancy clothes. I still have to wear my maternity pants. I'm about 20lbs to pre weight.

I blame it on Depo. I will never get that again!

Cindy crawford work out video for new moms is great! And nothing too hard! But if you want to lose it faster and get more toned then the gym is my only answer

I've had great results with 30 day shred but it kicks your butt! I noticed a significant difference after the 1st week.
My baby is 6 wks old and I started it again today.

BREASTFEED!
But seriously, track your calories. Literally every single thing you put into your mouth. A lot of people are surprised when the first start doing this to see how much they really do consume. Set a goal (best to consult your dr.) and try to stay within that daily limit. Walking is the best exercise ever. And Zumba is also amazing. Drinking lots of water will help also, and keep you from feeling tired. Drink a tall glass of water before each meal, it will help you to not over-eat. Cut out soda completely. Try not to eat anything that doesn't have a direct nutritional benefit to your body, but allow yourself one indulgence a day (within reason).

I lost all my baby weight in 4.5 weeks ! But I'm not back to my pre-pregnancy body. I need to tighten back up since everything is all flabby   I have my weight loss thread link at the bottom of my profile if you wanna read through it. Good luck momma ! My best advice is to not drink anything but water , keep yourself moving all the time , & cut out starches & sodium !

haha don't be sad! Only reason I'm already planning it is because I've gained a crap load of weight   And I don't wanna feel like a marshmallow forever. haha

I might try that...they offer yoga classes at my school, so I could even get some of my credits that way...   lol

I'm 2 months PP and the same way. 20 lbs to prepregnancy weight. But I'll never be that little again, I don't think. My hips spread soooooo much!

I miss my prepregnancy clothes.

Haha, I gained 40 the whole time. And my doctor was really mad about it. And now I have a horrible 'pooch' mixed with all the stretch marks.. I'm def not feeling as sexy as I used to. Lol. But I have a feeling once this depo gets out of me, and I keep breastfeeding, and I'm starting an excersize plan for every morning just to walk around the beach with the baby that things will get better.

Go to the gym. Cardio is your best friend, combined with healthy eating habits. I ran 3-4 miles every other day and lost 58lbs in no time.
