Unilateral Hearing Loss and Hearing Aids

posted 22nd Oct
Has anyone used hearing aids for this type of loss or do you know anyone that has? My daughter doesn't have unilateral but the doctor's treat her as if she does because her right ear is severe to profound and her left ear is only mildly affected. So what I am trying to find out is if I should consider aiding her. I have researched it and there's been a few studies saying it worked but I'd rather speak to someone with experience in that situation. Her doctor at first told me it wasn't a good idea but I'm beginning to rethink some of his opinions because a lot of audiologist she's seen asked me why she isn't aided. Thanks in advance!
